These galleries represent only a small fraction of the Rasmuson Library's photograph and rare book and map holdings. Although the archives may be able to provide more information, due to the number of requests they receive, please limit contact to serious inquiries only. In many cases, relatively little is known about the collections. Please note that many of the collections are not complete on this site. More information about books and maps is available on Goldmine, the library's online catalog. Many of the maps and photographs have been added to Alaska's Digital Archives.

These collections may contain images that some people may find objectionable. We present these collections and images as part of the historical record for educational purposes. No image has been altered or removed because of content. Parents with concerns are encouraged to preview the content before allowing their children to access it.
